PBS Band Students Excel at District IV Honor Band

Band students from Parkview Baptist High School and Middle School participated in the District IV Honor Band held at SLU. The event took place January 15-17. Last month, they auditioned and competed for select placement in these excellent bands among 1,000 other students from other parts of District IV including, East and West Baton Rouge Parish, Ascension Parish, and Livingston Parish.
Throughout the weekend, the bands rehearsed rigorously with accomplished band conductors and educators as their clinicians. Students learned a full concert program over just a few days.
With only 16 hours of rehearsal, all of the bands performed at a high caliber on Saturday’s concert. These musically talented students know what it takes to be Parkview Strong.
