Coach Anderson graduated from Bethany Christian School in 1994, where she participated in multiple sports and was fortunate to play on several teams in the athletic program that consistently won district and state championships.
After graduation she initially attended Dillard University where she played on the Lady Blue Devil basketball team and later transferred to the University of New Orleans where she graduated with a degree in General Studies with a Social Sciences concentration. Her educational pursuit continued with earning a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision at Southern University, Educational Specialist degree from Keiser University, and completing all coursework, pending dissertation approval, to earn her PhD in Educational Leadership also from Keiser University.
Coach Anderson has been in education for 16 years and currently serves as our High School Division Head. She developed her philosophy and understanding of leadership over the course of 8 years serving in administrative capacities in public and charter schools.
Coach Anderson and her husband, Granville Anderson, have been married for 14 years and have two children, Granville II and Katelyn. She and her family are avid sports participants and enthusiasts, and she has served as coach or assistant for youth, in various sports, from ages 3 to 13.
She derives great joy in instilling pride in and love for the game and a persistent attitude of excellence without compromise. She believes that character and integrity are the building blocks of a winner and that hard work truly does pay off.
