Parkview Baptist Response Plan
Our Covid-19 response plan has been properly updated after receiving updated information on Covid-19. Please take a moment to review the updates and familiarize yourself with our procedures and protocols. We must ALL work together to remain safe, healthy, and on campus!
Signs & Symptoms of Covid-19:
Fever with or without Chills
Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
Muscle or Body Aches
Loss of Taste or Smell
Congestion or Runny Nose
Positive Covid-19 test result = requires a FULL 10-day quarantine from the positive test result date and a clearance note from your Pediatrician/Primary Care Physician will be required for you to return to work/school.
For example: I received my positive Covid-19 test result on 12/18/20. I will quarantine for 10 full days. Day #1 will start on 12/19/20. I will be able to return on the 11th day (12/29/20) with my clearance letter from my Pediatrician/Primary Care Physician.
**We DO NOT accept “return to school/work” excuses from Urgent Care/After Care Clinics. You must see your Pediatrician/Primary Care Physician.**
Directly Exposed (no mask, not socially distanced and for longer than 15 minutes) to a positive Covid-19 individual = requires a FULL 10-day quarantine from the last day you were with the positive Covid-19 individual. This particular quarantine does not require you to have a negative test, but it does require you to remain asymptomatic since the direct exposure. A doctor’s clearance letter is NOT required for you to return to school/work for a direct exposure.
For example: I was directly exposed to a positive Covid-19 individual on 12/18/20 (for example: at lunchtime/sporting event), I will quarantine for 10 full days. Day #1 will start on 12/19/20. I will be able to return to school/work on the 11th day (12/29/20), if I have remained asymptomatic during my entire quarantine. If I start to experience ANY symptoms during my direct exposure quarantine, then I will see my Pediatrician/Primary Care Physician and get tested before returning to school/work.
Please note that each time we are notified of a positive Covid-19 case, we perform a very thorough contact tracing. We trace back at least 48 hours from the individuals positive Covid-19 test results to determine who was directly exposed. After this tracing is performed, we will then notify the appropriate individuals who were directly exposed (no mask, not socially distanced and for longer than 15 minutes). These named individuals will be sent a “direct exposure” email and will need to follow a 10-day quarantine. We will ONLY notify the named individuals that were directly exposed (no mask, not socially distanced and for longer than 15 minutes).
