17-18 Summer Information & Summer Work

Happy Summer! Here is some very important information you will need to prepare for the 2017-2018 school year. Please read it carefully! All of this information is also located on the front page of the website under ‘Summer Work,’ and on the Parent and Student pages as well.


SUMMER HOURS

The White House/Business Office will be open this summer Monday – Thursday from 8:00-3:00.

The Division Offices and Admissions/Communication Office will be open Monday – Thursday from 9:00-3:00.

If you need assistance outside of those hours, you may email school@parkviewbaptist.com and we will get your message to the proper person.

If you have something you need to drop off, you may leave with Mrs. Keli in Building C. Eagle Experience Summer Camp is in session all summer.

The campus will be CLOSED on Tuesday, July 4 (Independence Day).


2017-2018 SCHOOL CALENDAR

We have just finalized the 17-18 school calendar and SOME DATES MAY DIFFER FROM BEFORE. Please make sure you are operating under the latest and greatest version. You can find it on the Parent/Student page of the website, OR YOU CAN DOWNLOAD A COPY HERE.

Be advised that the first day of school for ALL students PreK-12 is Wednesday, August 9th. (Early Childhood will stagger their start days August 9-11 and will receive their staggered start day in July with their teacher assignment). The last day of school for ALL students is Thursday, May 24th, 2018.

Professional Development Days will follow school holidays and are as follows: Tuesday, October 3, Monday, November 27, Wednesday, January 3, Monday, February 19 and Monday, April 9.


NEW PARENT DATES

Families that are NEW to Parkview will want to post this document on their refrigerator. August begins a round of New student orientations, parent orientations, prep nights, open houses, etc. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD NEW PARENT INFORMATION AND DATES.


UNIFORMS/USED UNIFORMS

Uniform Guidelines for 2017-2018 have not changed.

Remember that all shorts and pants must be Navy with the P logo (no khaki) and purchased from one of our two uniform providers – Inka’s and School Time. Girls may wear plaid jumpers, skirts, shorts or skorts (pleated or straight).  All jumpers, shorts, skirts and skorts must be no shorter than 3” above the knee standing or 5” above the knee kneeling. YOU MAY CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE UNIFORM GUIDELINES.

Both providers have special Parkview offers this summer.

  • SchoolTime is offering a special PBS day on Monday, July 17th for 15% off.
  • Inka’s will be offering 10% during the month of June and a special 15% off PBS day on both June 15th and July 7th.

PLEASE BRING IN YOUR UNIFORMS FOR THE USED UNIFORM SALE!

There are bins in every division office + White House and Admissions to drop your uniforms.

USED UNIFORM SALE – Saturday, July 29th  from 8:00am-1:00pm.


Last, MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the Back to School Bash on Friday, August 11th.  Ticket information will be sent home soon!
