A second later, an event becomes history. It affects every one of us because it touches some aspect of our lives i.e, politics, art, economy, military, athletics, science, culture, religion, technology, geography, math, etc.
The PBS History Club's primary objective is to instill a greater understanding of history in the minds of students. Students meet regularly to watch documentaries and eat lunches based on the food of that particular culture or era. A periodical "movie week" is held, where students meet at lunch to watch movies based on historical events.
To gain a greater understanding and appreciation of history, the History Club participates in field trips. This year, the club plans to visit the Renaissance Fair in Hammond and the D-Day Museum in New Orleans.
