Letter from the Assistant Headmaster
It is my honor to be the Middle School Assistant Headmaster serving students in fifth through eighth grades. The mission of Parkview Baptist School is to provide students with a Christ-centered education that allows them to grow and mature in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man. We strive to reach this goal through our varied Middle School programs.

Our college-preparatory curriculum provides students with the opportunity to grow in wisdom. Students are challenged through our college-prep and honors classes in math, science, and English. Students develop their ability to think, organize their thoughts using visual tools, and communicate with peers through our Foundations for Learning class. Our curriculum offers a wide variety of electives including band, choir, foreign language, technology courses, and study skills.

Our physical education program, wide range of athletic teams, and extracurricular clubs provides students with the opportunity to grow in stature. Student athletes can participate in football, baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, swimming as well as many other sporting activities. Students also have the opportunity to participate in Jr. Steppers (the PBS Middle School dance team), cheerleading, drama club, student council, and Jr. Beta. Through these avenues our students experience great achievement.

Our Bible curriculum, weekly chapel services, and grade level retreats provide students with the opportunity to grow in favor with God and man. All students are enrolled in a Bible class during one semester each school year. Bible classes sponsor and participate in service ministries designed by the students. Projects currently include collecting stuffed animals for a children’s hospital, collecting sports equipment to be delivered on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, and volunteering time at a local blood drive. Each week, our students attend a chapel service with worship lead by the Middle School Praise Team. Messages are designed to reach the students on their level including monthly gender specific, social issue topics delivered to the individual gender groups. Middle School is also the home of PINC (Purity and Identity in Christ) Ministries, the ministry of our on-site counselor, Ashley Hicks.

The Middle School administration and faculty view it as a privilege to serve you and your students. It is our desire to work in partnership with the parents to ensure that our students grow in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man.

In Christ,

Joana Dieterich
Middle School Assistant Headmaster
