PTF is THE organization at Parkview Baptist School that supports the entire school community including teachers, parents, and students. The PTF provides support in the following ways:
Fundraising - Raises over $40,000.00 annually that is used to enhance ACT incentives, provide Bro. Bob Anderson academic scholarships for students, faculty benefits, faculty appreciation luncheons and more.
Communication with School Board- Sponsored the first annual PTF Eagle Talk forum, giving all PBS parents an opportunity to become aware of the school board's goals and to offer additional comments on their ideas for improvement.
Communication with Parents- Publish quarterly "Eagle Talk" newsletters to better communicate with all parents. Sponsor parent seminars considering topics of interest for parents and students.
Education- Established a PTF Committee for Excellence to give an opportunity to all PBS parents to serve on a committee that is charged with the ability to provide input to the school board of areas needing study, review, and improvement for the purpose of promoting goodwill, quality Christian education and a sense of community at PBS within the mission statement of the church and school.
School Spirit- Provide parents and faculty members the opportunity to participate on PTF subcommittees focused on academic clubs, athletic and spirit teams, alumni, hospitality, fundraising and spiritual emphasis enabling the school to improve student life.
As we begin the 2008-2009 school year, the Parkview Baptist School PTF is planning for the future.Critical to this effort is participation by PBS parents and faculty. The PTF organization provides the widest range of opportunities for parents and faculty to give input, to participate in planning and supporting school activities, and to help shape the future success of Parkview Baptist School. Additionally, the PTF is seeking parents interested in serving on the PTF Board of Directors.
New efforts of the PTF have resulted in additional fundraisers and events such as the homecoming parade, alumni get-togethers, and breakfast with Santa. Continued efforts of the PTF include the spring festival and craft show, student and academic scholarships, teacher and faculty appreciation, and the cookie dough sale.Fundraising by the PTF enables us to support classroom and academic enhancements for the school.
Communication is the key component of the PTF, and we plan to sponsor parent events at least two times per year. Please consider joining the PTF or serving on the PTF Board, where you can contribute your talents. With the support of each parent, we can continue to be a successful organization!
