The PBS High School Choir received all superior ratings and a sweepstakes trophy at District Choral Festival this past spring. They also received a plaque for their superior rating in sight singing at State Choral Festival. Several choir members were recently selected to participate in the Women's All-State Choir: Corrin Crawford, Chelsea Decell, Chelsi Hefner, Olivia Rawlins and Karli Schneider. Selected for District IV Honor Choir were Karli Schneider and Brittany Pecue.
On March 11 and 12, the Parkview Middle School and High School choirs each competed at District IV Choral Festival at First Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Both choirs received superior ratings from all four judges (three performance judges and one sight-singing judge). The choirs also received a Sweepstakes Trophy for their scores.
On April 27, the Choral Department will present its Spring Concert in the Sanctuary at 7 pm. Choirs will present their festival selections as well as other repertoire such as “The Best of Doo-Wop,” “It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got That Swing,” and other entertaining songs. Admission is free.
