How many formal dresses have you bought for your daughter after asking her, “When are you ever going to wear this again?” The Cinderella Project is an opportunity for Parkview Baptist School girls to participate in a community philanthropic project, as well as share the experience of feeling like a princess for a night with other girls who would not otherwise have that unforgettable memory. With your help, PBS can be a part of making a young girl’s fantasy become a princess’ reality.
Families may donate as many dresses as desired, as long as they are delivered dry-cleaned and placed on a hanger in a plastic garment bag. Although the organization is in need of many dresses, please do not donate a dress if it is out of style. In other words, if your daughter would not want to wear it, neither would someone else’s daughter. On Wednesday, September 17, PBS will hold our own drop-off day. The lobby of the new gym will serve as our collection area. All your daughter must do is simply bring the dry-cleaned dress to the lobby on our PBS drop-off date, and the National Honor Society will take it from there. The National Honor Society will serve as a liaison between Parkview and The Cinderella Project by bringing the donated dresses to a YMCA at a later date.
Every young girl should have a moment when she feels like she is living in a fairy tale. Donate a dress, and you can play a significant role in making that fairy-tale night a reality for some deserving girl.
Thank you for your help,
Sarah Gregoire National Honor Society Vice President
The Cinderella Project fosters empowerment and individual beauty by providing free prom dresses to high school students who cannot otherwise afford them.
