Parkview Baptist School

Parkview Baptist School (PBS) is a private Christian school located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Founded by members of Parkview Baptist Church, the school was incorporated July 13, 1981, under the provisions of Louisiana's nonprofit corporation law. Parkview Baptist School is located adjacent to the church at the intersection of Airline and Jefferson Highways in southeastern Baton Rouge. The school mascot is the Eagle, and the school colors are red, white, and blue (although originally blue and silver).

Parkview Baptist School is divided into three administrative units: Parkview Baptist Elementary School (K-4, also known as PBS kids), Parkview Baptist Middle School (5-8), and Parkview Baptist High School (9-12). Parkview Baptist School is also governed by a School Board that consists of appointed church members hailing from the school, church, and community as a whole. The change of moving grade 5 to part of the middle school began in fall 2008.

Parkview Baptist School is fully certified by the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education as an approved K-12 education program. Additionally, PBS is fully accredited with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and has been approved to receive foreign students by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Services.

The school's mission is "to seek first the Kingdom of God while providing students with a college-preparatory, Christ-centered education that allows them to grow and mature in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man."
